SCOM (MOM) problem in putting server in Maintenance mode

    Hello,
We have a problem with MS System Center Operations Manager 2007 "Version 6.0.6278.0 (Select)" installed in my company. The problem description is:

We used to put servers in Maintenance Mode when we are going to change settings on the server or reboot etc to avoid generation of autotickets.
The problem now what we are facing is that, we put server is maintenance mode for eg from 03:00 to 05:00 and we restarted some service or else rebooted the server. Once the maintenance mode is completed i.e. by 05:00 the alert will generate for that particular server and a ticket will be auto generated.

Can somebody help me with this problem, how to proceed troubleshooting the same.

Note: I am not a MOM expert. So the suggestion with much simpler language will be appreciated.

I belive you are getting the alerts because of the agent cache and the machine not being completly in MM.
