Well, I see more and more organizations NOT extending the schema. That's fine, but you will get erros in the console. You can supress those. Anyway, sound slike you have not setup the required WINS entries. If you are not going to add AD schema, you HAVE to setup the WINS entries or clients don't know...

Check the locationservices.log and clientlocation.log on the client. See if there are any errors. Also, look on the Actions tab on the client in the Systems Management icon in the control panel. How many actions do you see? Anything less than 8 and you have MP issues.
